A regular meeting of the educational and methodological council was held

Today, on May 23, in the Senate hall, under the chairmanship of Vice-President for Academic Affairs N.T. Azhikhanov, a regular meeting of the educational and methodological council (EMC) was held. Members of the EMC and responsible staff of the university participated in its work. At the beginning of the meeting, the new dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Eftal Shukru Batmaz was officially introduced. Further, the agenda issues were discussed and appropriate decisions were made. At the same time, Vice President for Academic Affairs N.T. Azhikhanov emphasized that today the leading universities of Central Asia express a great interest in our university and express their readiness to conclude agreements on interuniversity cooperation in all spheres of higher and postgraduate education: a broad exchange of experience, master classes of leading scientists, development of academic mobility of students and teaching staff, joint educational programs (two-diploma education); scientific research activity (joint scientific projects and developments, international grants, patents, scientific seminars, scientific internships, joint training and scientific management of master’s and doctoral dissertations, etc.); preparation of monographs, textbooks (electronic, including), teaching aids, retraining and upgrading of the qualifications of the teaching staff, etc. It was also noted that in the 2017-2018 academic year, according to the “visiting-professor” program, our institution for academic studies came from the leading universities of Turkey 27 professors, and from us 83 professors were sent to Turkey (in 2016-2017 academic year 84 professors arrived from Turkey, and from our university 8 professorsnwent to Turkey to conduct classes). Another achievement of the university – in the rankings of the world universities Webometrics Ranking of World Universities (Ranking Web of Universities), the IKTU rose from the 92nd place to the 50th place. In addition, each faculty was instructed to develop two scientific projects within the framework of the Erasmus + program and, together with the partner universities, to introduce a two-diploma education in 2-3 specialties in the 2018-2019 academic year.
