Scientific and Practical Center “Rukhani Zhagyru” of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoji Ahmed Yasawi and the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Turkestan Region held an online meeting “Reasonable Student – Honest Session”.
The purpose of the meeting is to create a system for introducing into the public consciousness of students spiritual and cultural values of the people aimed at combating corruption. One of the foundations of their development is to hold an honest session, start an initiative combining in-depth knowledge and increased responsibility. The meeting was attended by N. Abuova, representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Turkestan Region, U. Umbetov, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, K. Berkimbayev, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, L. Dinasheva, Director of the Department of Education and Rukhani Zhazhyru, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs T. Niyazov, Director of the Scientific and Practical Center “Rukhani Zhagyru” A. Tolysbaeva, Head of the Department of Research Organization A. Baltabaeva and students. The moderator of the online meeting was Amirekul Abuov, Vice President for Social Support and Education. During the meeting, the essence of the concept of honesty and issues of ensuring the principles of academic integrity in passing the exam and ethical standards in the organization of distance learning were discussed. In addition, detailed information was provided on testing students’ dissertations for anti-plagiarism. Ulasbek Aryn, a specialist of the Scientific and Practical Center “Rukhani Zhagyru” of our university, reported on the work of the Center “Parasattylyk”. He noted that in connection with the emergency situation in the country, special lectures and explanatory work are held every week with the aim of creating an anti-corruption culture and encouraging students to be careful, patient and honest on the Internet. He also said that teachers and students of our university monitor the participation of students in online classes and the download of teaching materials. Students who participated in the online meeting sent their questions and comments.
