On September 1, the Faculty of Education and Humanities organized an informative lecture entitled “The New Constitution – The Legal Foundation of a Just Kazakhstan” at the Lesbek Tashimov Hall. The main purpose of the event was to explain the significance of the Constitution in the life of the state and society, expand students’ knowledge of the country’s legal foundations, and foster a culture of lawfulness and respect for the rule of law. The informative lecture was delivered by B.S. Syzdyk, Associate Professor of the Department of History, PhD. During the lecture, the key stages of the constitutional development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the main directions of the current constitutional reforms were examined in detail. Particular attention was paid to the role of the Constitution in ensuring social stability and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. As part of the event, students received important explanations regarding the political and legal changes taking place in the country. The essence and significance of the constitutional reforms were also discussed in detail. Students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and exchange views on the issues addressed during the lecture. Such informative events contribute to enhancing students’ legal literacy, strengthening their civic responsibility, and developing their interest in the social and political life of the country.

At the end of the event, the participants emphasized that respecting the Constitution, complying with the law, and developing a strong culture of lawfulness are important responsibilities of every citizen.
