“Honesty – The Main Value of Society”
On September 14, 2026, the Department of History of the Faculty of Education and Humanities held an informative educational hour on the topic “Honesty – The Main Value of Society” with the participation of first-year students.
The event was conducted by Associate Professor Muzaffer Gürsoy, Associate Professor of the Department of History. During the educational hour, the importance of honesty and moral principles in personal development and the development of modern society was discussed in detail.
The following key areas were given particular attention during the event:
Academic integrity: The role of sincerity in student life and an honest and responsible attitude toward knowledge in shaping the qualities of future professionals.
Civic responsibility: The importance of every young person understanding their responsibilities to society and adhering to the principles of justice.
Historical continuity: The importance of remaining faithful to national values and the legacy of ancestors in educating and guiding the younger generation.
At the end of the event, the first-year students expressed their opinions and engaged in an open exchange of views on the topic. Such meetings make a significant contribution to developing not only students’ pursuit of knowledge but also important moral and ethical qualities among young people.
