History and General Information

In 2009, under the guidance of Associate Professor G.B. Abassova, the Department of "Nervous Diseases and Oriental Medicine" was organized. In 2016, the department was renamed to "Neurology, Psychiatry, Narcology". Currently, G.B. Abassova is the head of the department.

The department provides the following medical training programs: internship specialty "5B130100-General medicine", educational residency programs 7R01104 – “Neurology of adults, pediatric”, 7R01113 – “Рsychiatry of adults, children”, 7R01117 - "Physical medicine and rehabilitation оf adults, children". Practical classes are conducted using interactive teaching methods: discussion of theoretical data with a teacher, clinical analysis of patients, group discussion, heuristic conversation, trainings, elements of training with problem programs are used.
