    “THE YOUTH OF THE TURKIC WORLD HONORED ABAI”

    On the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev, a literary and educational evening titled “Read Abai, Understand Abai” was held at the Preparatory Center among students from the Turkic world.

    The event was organized by the Kazakh and Russian Language Departments and brought together students who successfully passed the two-stage competition. Participants who had been studying the Kazakh language for only three months and were completing the A1 level were able to demonstrate their knowledge in practice.

    During the evening, the students recited Abai’s poems, Words of Edification, and even excerpts from his poems by heart, proving the extent to which they had mastered the Kazakh language.

    The event, which involved a total of 23 participants, was held at a high level and left a strong impression on everyone present.

    At the end of the event, active participants were awarded Letters of Appreciation from the Director of the Center. In addition, collections of Abai’s works were presented as gifts.

    The literary and educational evening once again demonstrated the effectiveness of teaching the Kazakh language not as a foreign language but as a related language, highlighting the importance of learning the language through cultural and country-specific studies.
