    THE LAST SESSION OF THE SENATE IN 2025 TOOK PLACE

    Today, the regular Senate meeting was held at our university. The meeting was attended by Senate members, heads of structural divisions, and the faculty.

    As is customary, the meeting began with a ceremony honoring members of the university’s faculty and extending congratulations on their anniversaries.

    The Rector of the University, Zhanar Temirbekova, congratulated Doctor of Sciences, Associate Professor Ualikhan Agabekuly on his 63rd anniversary, as well as Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Rima Ibadullakyzy, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Senior Lecturer Dairash Nurzhigitkyzy, and Candidate of Historical Sciences Zabirash Ashimkhanovna on their 60th anniversaries, and presented them with commemorative gifts.

    In addition, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Ibadulla Turmetov was awarded the badge “Excellence in Healthcare” by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    During the meeting, certificates awarding academic titles were also presented to a number of faculty members.

    A certificate awarding the academic title of Professor in the fields of Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Cultural Studies was presented to Sultanmurat Abzhalov. Certificates awarding the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent) were presented to Nasraddin Shapambayev and Nurgul Zholdassova in the field of Medical Sciences; to Sholpan Karsybekova and Saule Magzhan in the field of Philology and Literary Studies; to Aktolkyn Agabekova in the field of Materials Science and Engineering; and to Zhantore Zhetibayev in the field of Economics and Business.

    Subsequently, reports were delivered on the main issues on the agenda. Khairulla Masadikov, Director of the Department of Science, reported on the progress of research projects carried out within the framework of the state-funded program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    In addition, a number of important issues were considered, including the approval of dissertation topics for doctoral students admitted to the 2025–2026 academic year; the approval of chairpersons of the Final Attestation Committees; the submission of faculty documents to the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the conferment of academic titles; the approval and recommendation for publication of textbooks, teaching aids, and monographs prepared by the university faculty; the transfer of the course “Turkish Language (Levels I, II)” to the Linguistic Center’s platform, and other significant matters.
