A junior research fellow of our university’s Eurasian Research Institute, Anuar Satmurzin, has been awarded the “Bolashak” International Scholarship.

According to the results of the meeting of the Republican Commission for Training Specialists Abroad held on 24 December 2025, 225 citizens of Kazakhstan became recipients of the prestigious “Bolashak” International Scholarship. Among them is a representative of our university.

In the near future, Anuar Satmurzin will pursue his studies in a PhD doctoral program at the University of Helsinki (Republic of Finland).

Previously, he earned a Master’s degree in Political Science from Central European University (Vienna, Republic of Austria), where he was recognized for his outstanding academic achievements.

Anuar Satmurzin’s research interests include the role of middle powers in ensuring regional stability, processes of regionalism and regionalization, hedging strategies, and the specific features of hedging in the post-Soviet space.

We congratulate our colleague on this significant achievement and wish him every success in his future academic pursuits and professional endeavors.
