Today, a meeting entitled “The Professional Career of Educator, Scholar, Diplomat, and Politician Adil Akhmet in the Field of Diplomacy” was held at our university.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce students to the professional diplomatic experience of Adil Akhmet, a prominent public figure of Kazakhstan, educator, scholar, diplomat, and politician. The event aimed to provide practical insights into the stages of formation of the foreign policy and diplomatic service of Independent Kazakhstan. It also sought to strengthen the professional orientation of students majoring in International Relations and to increase their interest in future diplomatic careers.

During the meeting, Adil Akhmet provided a comprehensive overview of the content and specific features of diplomatic service and elaborated on the role of diplomacy in the modern system of international relations.

In addition, he shared insightful views on the interconnection between public service and science, as well as the role of academic research and analytical expertise in managerial decision-making.

He not only discussed issues related to politics and science but also recalled his childhood and student years, sharing warm personal memories. At the same time, he encouraged participants to confidently pursue their goals.

In his address, Adil Akhmet stated: “Today, you are studying at an international university with extensive facilities and dedicated infrastructure for each faculty. The university’s modern campus system and multidisciplinary academic environment provide great opportunities for both professional and personal development. Be among the best and strive for excellence.”

At the end of the meeting, students asked the speaker questions and engaged in discussions. He shared both his professional and personal experience with young specialists, thereby increasing their motivation to gain knowledge and practical experience.
