THE TRADITIONAL INTERFACULTY SPARTAKIAD HAS STARTED
Our university held the official opening ceremony of the 34th Traditional Interfaculty Spartakiad among students.
This important sporting event aims to strengthen students’ health, increase their interest in sports, and promote a healthy lifestyle. In addition, based on the results of the competitions, the university’s representative team will be formed.
The opening ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Mr. Edil Tolegenov, who wished success to all participants.
“Our university demonstrated excellent performance and became the champion of the 13th Summer Universiade. This achievement is a well-deserved result of hard work and strong will. Competitions always bring both victories and defeats, but the true value lies in unity and strong friendship. That is why students of Yassawi University must always demonstrate a high standard,” he emphasized.
The first day of the Spartakiad began with relay races. This year, 11 teams will compete in volleyball, arm wrestling, togyzkumalak, mini-football, table tennis, tug of war, relay, and shooting.
The Spartakiad will serve as an important platform for strengthening friendship and unity, as well as increasing students’ interest in sports.
