“A LEGAL CONSULTATION WAS HELD FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.”
At our educational institution, a legal consultation was held for students from fraternal Turkic countries. The event was attended by representatives of the Police Department of the Turkistan Region.
The meeting was moderated by the Director of the Department of International Relations, Furkhat Dadazhanov. Among the speakers were Police Lieutenant Colonel Akan Saparbekov from the Public Safety Department of the Turkistan Region, Senior Inspector of the Migration Department, Police Major Gulzeynep Karazhigitova, Vice-Rector for Finance and International Relations Mustafa Giritlioglu, and Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov.
The first to speak was Vice-Rector for Finance and International Relations Mustafa Giritlioglu:
“Dear students, as you know, I also work at our university as a foreign citizen, and you are students. We are currently in another country, and the laws of each country are different. Therefore, we must comply with the laws of this country, that is, Kazakhstan. Today’s event is organized so that in the future you do not make mistakes and do not violate the law.”
Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov added:
“Dear students, you have come to Kazakhstan to study. Akhmet Yassawi University is an educational institution uniting the youth of the Turkic world. Students from 17 countries study here. From the very first day at the university, you are required to comply with the laws of the country and the established rules of the educational institution. Those who do not follow the law and university rules are subject to disciplinary measures. The law applies to everyone. Avoid illegal actions and use such meetings to obtain useful information.”
Police Lieutenant Colonel Akan Saparbekov urged students to maintain order, refrain from committing offenses, justify their parents’ trust, and focus on receiving a quality education.
Police Major Gulzeynep Karazhigitova explained the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of migration.
During the seminar, the speakers provided information on the rules for foreign students staying in Kazakhstan, procedures for obtaining visas and registration, and the issuance of temporary residence permits. In addition, foreign students received legal advice and clarifications on issues related to obtaining a study visa and registration.
