WINTER SCHOOL: INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS DAY HELD

As part of the IV Winter School organized at our university, International Relations Day was held. The seminar focused on the topic “International Cooperation, Academic Mobility, and Joint Projects.”

The seminar speaker, Director of the Department of International Relations Furkhat Dadazhanov, noted: “International relations are a key factor in enhancing a university’s global standing in modern education, science, and culture. Within the framework of the university’s strategic development program for 2024–2026, we are systematically strengthening the quality of education, scientific research, and international cooperation.”

The speaker emphasized that the main strategic goal of the Department of International Relations is to enhance the university’s reputation on the international stage, expand the network of foreign partnerships, and internationalize the knowledge and experience of students and faculty through the development of academic mobility.

During the meeting, participants were also presented with up-to-date information on key areas, including the development of academic mobility, expansion of international partnerships, and improvement of internationally certified language proficiency levels.

In addition, detailed information was shared about academic mobility programs such as Orkhun, Erasmus+, Visiting Professor, bilateral agreements, and Mevlana.

It is worth noting that each year more than 130 students of our university have the opportunity to study abroad through these programs. Furthermore, renowned scholars and professors from leading universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, Norway, and Turkey are invited to deliver lectures at our institution.

Participants actively discussed academic mobility programs, sharing their views and engaging in meaningful dialogue.

During the seminar, priority areas in international relations were identified, and issues related to the development of academic mobility, strengthening international cooperation, and improving the quality of education were discussed in depth. The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss new initiatives, and outline the university’s directions for international development.
