National Kyrgyz Holiday “Ak Kalpak” celebrated

On March 2, a festive event dedicated to the traditional holiday of the Kyrgyz people was held in the Great Hall of the Cultural Center.

The “Turkic World” Club and the Kyrgyz students studying at the university were solemnly celebrated by the celebration of the national holiday of the Kyrgyz people – “Ayir Kalpak”, “Ak kalpak”. According to Kyrgyz, this holiday was officially adopted in Kyrgyzstan on March 5, 2011.

Kyrgyz youth and students of the preparatory faculty showed their performances at the concert program. Traditional Kyrgyz epic “Manas” played, played national instruments, performed national traditional songs in Kyrgyz, were danced.

Vice-Rector for Development and Finance M.Eren and Professor K.Ergobek, Chairperson of the public association “Kyrgyz Ethno-Cultural Center of South Kazakhstan region” A.Kalmenova and Deputy Head of the Public Association “Kyrgyz Ethno-Cultural Center of South Kazakhstan region” N.Kalenderov congratulated the youth and wished good luck. The guests were presented with the “Ak Kalpak” by the traditions of the Kyrgyz people.
