Bek Nurmaganbet, a student of the A.Yassawi University, began his first professional boxing competition with a victory. In professional boxing in Minsk, Bek Nurmaganbet ended his debut middleweight bout with a knockout. His opponent was Hungarian Tamas Laska, an experienced boxer who had already fought 40 fights. Bek Nurmaganbet is a 2nd year master’s student at the Higher School of Public Administration and Economics. In addition, this year the athlete moved from amateur boxing to professional boxing. He became the champion of Kazakhstan at the national championship in Aktau in 2018 and the champion of Asia in the weight category up to 81 kg at the 2019 Asian Championships in Thailand. We wish our athlete to continue to successfully defend the honor of our country and our university at world-class competitions!
