A LEGAL CONSULTATION SEMINAR FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WAS HELD
The main purpose of the seminar was to familiarize international students with the necessary procedures for legal residence in Kazakhstan, explain their rights and responsibilities, and teach them methods of protection against fraud and offenses. Participants received practical information on registration rules, visa procedures, obtaining a temporary residence permit, compliance with migration requirements, and prevention of legal violations.
During the event, Zhanna Sarimsakova, Major of Economic Investigations of the Department for Economic Investigations of the Turkestan Region, delivered an informative lecture on common types of online fraud, methods of prevention, and safe online behavior practices.
In addition, law enforcement officers of the city of Kentau also actively participated in the seminar. Students were informed about the rules for maintaining public order, control requirements concerning foreign nationals, and procedures for emergency situations. The seminar was attended by the district police inspector of Kentau, Police Major Ruslan Karibayev, and the migration department inspector, Senior Police Lieutenant Shamil Miyanov. They engaged in an open dialogue with the students and provided specific recommendations on current issues.
The seminar covered the following topics:
• Rules of stay and migration procedures in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Visa procedures and requirements for timely registration;
• Types of residence permits and the process of obtaining them;
• Legal consultations and answers to individual student questions.
At the end of the event, mini-games were organized among the participants of the Foundation Center, and the most active attendees were awarded gifts by the Department of International Relations.
This event served as an important platform aimed at enhancing the legal literacy of international students, ensuring their safe study environment, and facilitating their adaptation process in Kazakhstan.
