    International Scientific and Practical Conference "Zhumabay Abil and the Development Trends of Literary Studies"

    Dear scholars, folklorists, literary critics, linguists, and researchers!

    Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University announces that on November 14, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Zhumabay Abil and the Development Trends of Literary Studies” will be held, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Philology, Professor Zhumabay Abil.

    Aim of the conference: To promote the scholarly and literary legacy of Zhumabay Abil, contributing to the development of theoretical and practical research in literary and folklore studies, journalism, and linguistics; to identify current directions in the development of science through a comprehensive analysis of modern literary and linguistic phenomena.

    Objectives:

    • To discuss theoretical issues of literary studies and folklore studies based on Zhumabay Abil’s research and to systematize ongoing scientific inquiries;
    • To explore innovations in the genres of journalism and to examine their role and significance in contemporary society;
    • To investigate the cultural and social aspects of linguistic phenomena through the study of linguistics and the paradigm of values;
    • To determine new research directions in literary and folklore studies, and linguistics through scholarly exchange of experience;
    • To highlight the importance of Zhumabay Abil’s works for present and future researchers, while encouraging young scholars to engage in scientific exploration.

    Conference topics:

    1. Zhumabay Abil’s research and theoretical issues of literary and folklore studies;
    2. Innovations in the genres of journalism;
    3. Linguistics and the paradigm of values;
    4. New directions in sociology;

    The proceedings of the conference will be published in a collection. Articles that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted. The organizing committee is not responsible for the content of submitted articles. The Organizing Committee and Editorial Board reserve the right to select and publish the submitted papers.
