A delegation from our university participated in the 15th National and 1st International Congress on Medical Education in Turkey and exchanged experiences with leading educational institutions.

From November 26 to 29, the university delegation attended the congress organized by Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University in Istanbul, which focused on issues in medical education.

The delegation included: Dean of the Faculty of Medicine G.O. Nuskabayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry U.B. Tatykayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education Zh.A. Zhagiparova, and Head of the Simulation Center E.N. Tolezhanov.

During the congress, university representatives learned about new trends in medical and dental education, clinical simulation training technologies, competency-based assessment systems, and international practices in resident admission and training. They exchanged views with experts from leading universities worldwide and discussed opportunities for joint scientific and educational projects. The knowledge gained will serve as a foundation for improving the university’s curricula and implementing innovative teaching methods.

The delegation also visited the Faculty of Dentistry at Ankara University, where they familiarized themselves with the faculty’s educational and methodological center and the modern clinical training system for students. Demonstrations included practical skills development technologies, the operation of teaching and clinical offices, a comparison of educational programs, and discussions on the potential for joint scientific projects.

The visit continued at the Simulation Center of Lokman Hekim University. The delegation explored the center equipped with high-tech simulators, clinical scenario modeling capabilities, teacher training systems, and OSCE-based assessment processes. Discussions focused on the development of simulation-based education, modernization of the learning environment, and professional development for instructors, as well as interest in joint project implementation.

As a result of the trip, concrete proposals were developed to strengthen partnerships with the two universities, organize joint master classes, and develop academic exchange programs. The university will continue to expand international cooperation in medical education and enhance the quality of training.
