THE MANAGEMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION REVIEWED THE WORK OF THE CENTER FOR ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Muhittin Simsek, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova, Representative of the Rector Naci Genc, and vice-rectors familiarized themselves with the activities of the Academic and Research Excellence Center established under the leadership of our university, including the progress of medical research and production laboratories.
These laboratories are being created within the framework of the scientific and technical program “Development of Innovative Technologies and Creation of Modern Infrastructure for the Sustainable Development of the South Kazakhstan Region.” The program is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The main goal of the program is to establish centralized medical laboratories and a clinical diagnostic center, as well as to improve access to high-quality medical, diagnostic, and research services for the population and scientific organizations.
The university leadership first visited the Center for Molecular Diagnostics and Genomic Research, which is being developed at the Faculty of Medicine. Intensive renovation work is currently underway to prepare several laboratories. In the future, the center will house a molecular diagnostics laboratory, a pathomorphology laboratory, a microbiological diagnostics laboratory, a clinical diagnostic laboratory, and an immunological research laboratory. These units will carry out tasks such as identifying genetic and infectious diseases, conducting tissue and cell studies, analyzing pathogens, performing comprehensive clinical and biochemical tests, and assessing immune responses.
The university leadership also visited the Center for Advanced Instrumental Diagnostics, launched at the Clinical Diagnostic Center. The center is equipped with modern high-precision instruments, which will significantly improve the quality of medical examinations. As of today, it is fully equipped and operational.
As part of the scientific program, work is also underway to establish the Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Laboratory. This laboratory will utilize big data analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to enhance diagnostic accuracy and improve patient-centered medical services.
After reviewing the progress made in establishing the scientific centers and laboratories, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Muhittin Simsek expressed his satisfaction with the work accomplished and thanked the team involved in the project.
It should be noted that funding for the creation of these laboratories was allocated by the University’s Board of Trustees, ensuring the full implementation of the program. This support has given a significant impetus to the development of medical science and the formation of new infrastructure in the region.
