Today, with the participation of the Akim of Turkistan Region, Nuralhan Kusherov, the ceremonial awards evening titled “Best of the Year – 2025” was held to honor the year’s top achievers.

Prior to the event at the Congress Hall multifunctional complex, guests were introduced to the photo exhibition “Labor”, a joint creative project of our university and the Beine.Pro online magazine.

The exhibition, dedicated to elevating the status of working people, enhancing their role in society, strengthening the prestige of blue-collar professions, and promoting honest labor, was recently launched at the university. As part of today’s traveling exhibition, the main protagonists personally attended the display, where visitors highly appreciated the creative work and expressed their gratitude.

During the ceremony, the regional akim congratulated outstanding professionals who have demonstrated dedication in their fields and achieved significant results.

At this prestigious event, several members of our university’s teaching and professorial staff, as well as distinguished graduates, were honored with awards.

Among the award recipients was Bekzhigit Serdali, Professor of the Department of Journalism, journalist, and renowned composer, who received the “Best Composer of Turkistan Region” award. In addition, Baglan Yermakhanov, Associate Professor and PhD lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Initial Military Training, was honored with the “Best Young Scientist” nomination.

Another awardee was our university’s 2025 graduate, Shugyla Omirbek, who recently won the gold medal at the World Wrestling Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia, in women’s wrestling. She was recognized with the “Best Athlete” award.

It is also worth noting that the festive concert program featured a performance by our university’s pride — the “Bi-Sultan” Dance Ensemble. The ensemble’s unique and modern choreography received enthusiastic applause and added a special brilliance to the evening.

The performance was choreographed by Gulnaziya Tauekelova, Honored Choreographer of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Cultural Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
