A meeting of the Academic Senate (Session No. 7) was held at our university. The meeting was attended by Senate members, the Head of the Department for Training and Certification of Scientific Personnel, and the faculty.

During the session, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova congratulated Abdimanap Fazilov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture at the Faculty of Sports, who was awarded a badge of honor from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his contribution to the development of sports. She also extended congratulations on milestone anniversaries to Professor Zhakypbek Kassymbekov of the Department of Physical Culture (63 years), Associate Professor Abbazbek Kassymbekov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering (70 years), and Professor Raushan Nurdillakyzy, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences (50 years).

Items on the agenda were reviewed. A report on the results of the 2025 internal and external audits of the Quality Management System was delivered by Vice-Rector for Science and Strategic Development, Ainash Oshibayeva.

In addition, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Idrissova presented a report on the approval of candidates for vacant state-funded grant places in higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Senate members adopted a decision to approve and recommend for publication the textbooks, teaching manuals, and monographs prepared by the university’s faculty.

The Head of the Department for Training and Certification of Scientific Personnel, Abzal Dosbolov, presented proposals regarding the approval of academic supervisors for doctoral and master’s students admitted during the winter period of the 2025–2026 academic year, the approval of dissertation topics, as well as amendments and additions to previously approved doctoral research topics and supervisors.

Furthermore, the report by Kopzhassar Zhetibayev, Director of the Research Institute of Archaeology, on the launch of the electronic journal Archeology of Turan was discussed.
