To support and assist the population of regions affected by floods in our country, universities have been offering various forms of aid. Our university has also actively participated.

The university staff and students organized comprehensive support measures for fellow citizens in difficult circumstances. About 500 faculty members and employees donated one day’s salary to charity, raising over 4 million tenge.

In addition, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Kazakh-Turkish University, Muhittin Simsek, on behalf of Turkish partners, provided additional assistance amounting to 3 million tenge.

Second-year students of the “Acting Art” program organized a charity event by staging the play “Oh, Those Newlyweds!” Proceeds from ticket sales were directed to material assistance for the victims.

The university administration decided to send all collected funds to aid the residents of the Atyrau region. Due to the overflowing Zhayyk River in Atyrau, urgent work on constructing dams and levees has begun. In connection with this, the university purchased the necessary construction and household materials, which were sent to the Atyrau region by truck.

It should be noted that the aid sent by our university is being received by K. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, which will deliver it to the places where it is needed.
