FOOD PACKAGES DISTRIBUTED DURING THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN

During the holy month of Ramadan, a charity event was organized at our university, where food packages were distributed. The charitable initiative was organized by the university administration with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency is the main institution under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey that provides international development and humanitarian assistance. During the Sultan of the months—Ramadan—the agency distributed a total of 150 food packages to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

At the charity event, the Rector’s Representative of our university, Naci Genc, delivered a speech and highlighted the importance of good deeds during the holy month.

“Charity is a noble deed. Helping one another voluntarily during this sacred month is one of the most virtuous acts. I would like to convey the warm wishes and friendly greetings of the Republic of Türkiye to you,” he said.

The event was held at the university’s “Titanic” cafeteria, where 150 food packages were distributed. Of these, 120 packages were given to university staff members. Specifically, 95 packages were allocated to the Department of Facilities Management, 5 to the university clinic, and 15 to the Kentau campus.

In addition, some of the food packages were delivered to socially vulnerable families in the city.

It should also be noted that earlier, 80 food packages were distributed to students of Dormitory No. 3 by the YDA Holding.
