Today, a cultural event was held within the framework of creative cooperation between our university and the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture.

In particular, at the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design, Uzbek performers presented a concert program featuring national motifs as part of the academic mobility program. The delegation from the fraternal country included faculty members and students.

Opening the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Media and Design, Darkhan Yelzhanov, stated: “Dear colleagues and students! Today, we are pleased to welcome distinguished teachers and students from the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture. Recently, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, paid an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. We are delighted to host our fraternal colleagues and young guests who have come to visit us. Our guests aim to perform on traditional Uzbek instruments, introduce them, and share their unique features. Therefore, we express our sincere gratitude to them.”

During the concert, talented performers showcased traditional Uzbek musical instruments such as the dutar, surnay, kosh-nay, sybyzgy, shankobyz, doira, and others. Each instrument was presented individually, along with detailed explanations of its history and structure. In addition, students received valuable insights within the framework of the “Turkic Instruments” course.

The guests performed not only Uzbek songs but also Karakalpak, Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Kazakh musical pieces, earning warm applause from the audience.

The audience not only enjoyed the music but also admired the graceful performances of the dancers.

The melodious songs and the rich sounds of traditional instruments created a special atmosphere throughout the evening. Thus, the event made a significant contribution to strengthening cultural ties between fraternal nations and enriching the spiritual outlook of students.
