THE RECTOR OF OUR UNIVERSITY HELD IMPORTANT MEETINGS IN ISTANBUL
As part of her official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, the Rector of our University, Zhanar Temirbekova, met with the Governor of Istanbul, Davut Gül.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on education, science, and international cooperation. Governor Davut Gül expressed his warm regards to the Turkistan Region and conveyed his best wishes to its people.
During the visit, the Rector also met with Nuri Aydın, Rector of Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.
Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa is one of our University's key international partners. It is worth noting that the University's academic staff maintains close cooperation with our institution. Distinguished specialists, including Professor Yunus Söylemez, pediatric urologist; Professor Dr. Harun Cansız, neurologist; and Professor Abdullah Sonsuz, gastroenterologist, have been actively contributing to the development of academic and scientific cooperation in the field of medicine through the exchange of professional expertise.
During the meeting, the rectors discussed further strengthening bilateral cooperation, expanding academic ties, and implementing joint educational and research projects.
As part of the visit, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova attended the exhibition “From the Asr al-Saadah Era to the Present Day,” dedicated to Islamic civilization, organized by Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.
The Rector also visited the University's sports facilities, including its Water Sports Center, where she learned about the University's achievements in sports. The parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of sports and the arts.
In addition, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova attended, as an honorary guest, the cornerstone-laying ceremony for the new building of the Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. The event was attended by university leaders and government officials from across Istanbul.
This visit, aimed at strengthening international cooperation, further reinforced the partnership between the two universities and opened new opportunities for collaboration in education and science. Both parties expressed their commitment to continuing their mutually beneficial cooperation.
