A NATIONAL COMPETITION TITLED “INDUSTRY 4.0: CREATIVE STUDENT” WAS HELD AT OUR UNIVERSITY
The main goal of the competition was to develop students’ knowledge in market economy and industry, foster creative thinking and the drive to create innovative products, and stimulate interest in scientific research activities.
Guests and participants of the competition explored an exhibition of scientific projects and technical developments prepared by the Department of Physics.
The official opening of the competition began with a welcoming speech by Rector’s Representative, Professor Naci Genc:
“Dear guests, faculty, and students! Welcome to our university! When we talk about physics, we recall its immense role in the development of technology and the world. Engineering, energy, and IT all begin with physics. That is why we can confidently say that physics will become one of the key sectors of Industry 4.0 and the future Industry 5.0. I wish all participants success and confidence in their abilities!” — Naci Genc stated.
The importance of the competition was highlighted by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ali Coruh from Sakarya University:
“Thank you for inviting me to this national competition! I have witnessed all stages of this project’s implementation and am glad to see its progress. I am confident that today we will see the results of this great work. I wish success to all students!” — he said.
More than 100 applications for scientific projects were submitted from 10 higher education institutions across the country during the first stage of the competition. Based on expert evaluations, 42 projects advanced to the second round.
In the second stage, participants presented their scientific developments on relevant topics such as: “Intelligent Chess Board,” “Methodology for Creating a Smart Bridge Project,” “Multifunctional Technical Devices for Children with Musculoskeletal Disorders,” “System of Didactic STEM Tools in Physics Education,” “Use of VR Technologies in Professional Education,” and others.
Based on the jury’s evaluation, the best scientific projects and technical solutions were determined. The winners of the competition were students from Abai National Pedagogical University, S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, and O. Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University.
Creative students were awarded cash prizes, and the winners of the school section received honorary certificates.
