On May 13, 2025, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University hosted a press briefing to officially launch the external certification audit of its quality management system in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 international standard.

The purpose of the audit is to assess the effectiveness and maturity of the university’s quality management system, verify compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, and identify areas for further improvement in the context of sustainable development. The renewal of the university’s existing quality certificate is also included in the audit scope.

The opening ceremony was attended by University Rector Zh. Temirbekova, Rector’s Representative Naji Gench, Vice-Rector for Science and Strategic Development A. Oshibayeva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs E. Idrisova, Vice-Rector for Socio-Cultural Development E. Tolegenov, as well as department heads, directors of research institutes, deans, and heads of academic departments.

The Rector officially introduced the external auditors from the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) — Lead Auditor Mr. Reşit Yazıcıoğlu and Dr. Zülfiye Dağlı — who arrived from Ankara for this audit. TSE is an officially accredited body under the international IQNet certification network.

In his remarks, Mr. Yazıcıoğlu emphasized that the four-day audit will involve a comprehensive review of academic, administrative, and support units of the university. The audit will focus on key elements such as quality culture, quality policy and objectives, risk and opportunity management, corrective actions, and improvement plans.

He also noted the university’s visible progress in recent years and expressed confidence that the audit results will contribute significantly to strengthening the university’s standing on the international stage.
