KHOJA AKHMET YASSAWI INTERNATIONAL KAZAKH-TURKISH UNIVERSITY RISES IN THE QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS 2026
According to the official QS report, the university significantly improved its standing in several key indicators:
The Faculty/Student Ratio rose by 157 positions, reaching 316th place globally, reflecting an increase in academic capacity and resource availability.
The International Students Diversity indicator ranked the university at 503rd place, with students from 13 countries, demonstrating the institution’s multicultural environment and international appeal.
The Sustainability indicator improved by 56 positions, placing the university among the top 650 universities worldwide in this category.
The university also advanced by 31 positions in the International Students indicator, confirming the effectiveness of its international student recruitment strategies.
At the national level, among the 20 Kazakhstani universities included in the QS ranking, Yassawi University ranked 7th overall, and is among the top 4 nationally in several categories—international research network, faculty/student ratio, and international faculty composition.
University Rector Zhanar Temirbekova emphasized: "Strengthening our position in the QS rankings is the result of the university’s consistent movement toward global integration, openness, and sustainable development. We are proud of our team, our students, and our partners, with whom we pursue ambitious goals and international projects."
This advancement marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the Yassawi University Development Program for 2024–2029, which places particular emphasis on academic excellence, internationalization, and the development of a robust research ecosystem.
