UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVES PARTICIPATE IN THE VIII GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNION OF TURKIC UNIVERSITIES
At this prominent meeting held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, a number of important issues were discussed. According to the agenda, participants first considered the applications submitted by new universities seeking membership in the Union of Turkic Universities.
In addition, proposals for improving the Union of Turkic Universities and the Orkhun Exchange Program were reviewed. The Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States made proposals regarding the establishment of a permanent secretariat and a special program fund for the Union of Turkic Universities and the Orkhun Exchange Program, as well as measures to strengthen the Union, with suggestions coming from the Republic of Turkey. Furthermore, the Hungarian side provided information concerning the Orkhun Exchange Program and the joint “Scientific Research, Technological Development, and Innovation” fund under the Organization of Turkic States.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Turkic Academy presented the results of the “TürkBarometer” research project for 2024–2025 to the participants.
