THE UNIVERSITY TEAM RANKED AMONG THE BEST AT THE SPORTS GAMES OF THE TURKIC WORLD
The competitions, held in Bishkek, brought together representatives from more than 15 higher education institutions of the Turkic states, contributing to strengthening friendship among the brotherly countries in the fields of education and sports.
The grand opening ceremony was held at a high level, celebrating the shared history and cultural values of the Turkic peoples. During the ceremony, national music and traditional dances were performed, allowing participants to feel the spiritual unity of the brotherly nations.
Students of Yassawi University won 1 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
More than 20 university athletes competed in sports such as Togyz Kumalak, Mangala, Alysh Kures, Shalwar Kures, Mas-Wrestling (Stick Pulling), Kyrgyz Kures, and archery. It is noteworthy that most students participated not in their main sports, but in disciplines traditional for the brotherly Turkic peoples, doing their best for the honor of the university. Our first-year students showed persistence, spirit, and willpower, demonstrating a commendable level of performance.
During the games, the Yassawi youth not only showcased their athletic skills but also presented the culture and national games of the Kazakh people, contributing to the strengthening of friendship and brotherhood among the Turkic nations.
