SPIRITUAL AND ECOLOGICAL EVENT “THE BEAUTIFUL DWELLING OF GAUKHAR-ANA – A STEP TOWARDS A GREEN LIFE”

The Department of Social and Cultural Events and Psychological Support at the university held a spiritual and ecological event called “The Beautiful Abode of Gaukhar-Ana – A Step Towards Green Living.”

The university's management, teachers, staff, and students took part in the improvement and greening of the territory of the Gaukhar-Ana mausoleum.

The event was timed to coincide with Republic Day and was held as part of the “Clean Kazakhstan” campaign.

The main goal of the campaign is to draw attention to environmental protection, foster an ecological culture, and increase young people's responsibility for nature conservation, as well as to express respect for sacred places.

It should be noted that Gaukhar-ana is the daughter of the great thinker and Sufi Khoja Akhmed Yassawi. Her mausoleum is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Republican Significance.

At the beginning of the event, participants visited the mausoleum, read a prayer, and honored the memory of Gaukhar-ana.

Then, teachers and students, led by Rector ZhanarTemirbekova and Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Development Yedil Tolegenov, planted trees on the territory of the mausoleum.

In total, the university staff and students planted 200 tree seedlings, wishing that they would take deep root and grow into lush, strong trees – a symbol of life and the continuity of generations.
