Renowned diplomat of the Republic of Turkey, Levent Murat Burhan, held an online meeting with students and faculty members of the Faculty of Economics and Management. As part of the series of diplomatic talks dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, he delivered a presentation titled “The 80th  Anniversary of the UN and Turkey’s Role in the UN System.”

The main goal of the meeting was to review the 80-year history of the United Nations, its role in contemporary global politics, and the participation of the Republic of Turkey in the UN system, as well as to discuss the experience of multilateral diplomacy and the country’s position in international organizations.

Levent Murat Burhan is a professional diplomat who has been serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey since 1982. He has held various positions in countries such as Somalia, Germany, Bulgaria, Russia, and Georgia. Within the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served as Head of the Protocol Department and Deputy Secretary for Multilateral Political Affairs, responsible for United Nations-related matters.
