TRAINING: “EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE”
Today, our university held another training session on the topic “Employee Motivation and Emotional Intelligence.”
The main objective of the training was to discuss ways to enhance employee motivation, develop emotional intelligence skills, and understand the relationship between emotions and motivation in the context of leadership.
Today’s training was conducted by the Rector of the University, Zhanar Temirbekova, who gave a detailed explanation of the connection between motivation and emotions, the different types of motivation, and the importance of emotional intelligence.
During the training, participants took part in a game called “Emotional Spectrum.” The purpose of the game was to understand motivation through emotions and to develop empathy. This activity helped employees to become more aware of their own feelings and to improve their ability to perceive and respond to others’ emotions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova emphasized that emotions and motivation are closely interconnected. Emotions and motivation are two sides of the same process. A leader who is able to manage emotions can build trust - and where there is trust, motivation naturally follows.
As part of the training, participants were offered a practical module titled “Motivation Factory.” The purpose of this module was to develop public-speaking skills and to teach participants how to deliver their ideas briefly, clearly, and inspiringly.
It should be noted that every Tuesday, on the first floor of the university library, corporate breakfast-format meetings are held for deans, department heads, directors of research institutes, deputy deans, and heads of academic departments. These meetings focus on professional development and effective team-building.
The training sparked great interest among participants and led to a productive exchange of ideas. The program will continue in the future.
