Our university has not only strengthened its position in global rankings but continues to maintain it with confidence. This year, among Kazakhstani universities, we ranked first in terms of development dynamics in the QS Ranking. In the global ranking, the university rose by 80 positions, and in the Asian ranking — by 10 positions. This achievement is the result of the unity and hard work of the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University team. The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayassat Nurbek, highly appreciated this success and sent a special congratulatory letter to the university.

Recently, joyful news was announced: our university has significantly improved its performance in the prestigious QS Asia University Rankings 2026, rising to 184th place among Asian universities — nine positions higher than last year. Over the past four years, our university has demonstrated stable growth — from 239th to 184th place.

In addition, in the QS World University Rankings 2026, the university also achieved impressive progress, moving from 848th place to the 761–770 range, thus improving its result by more than 80 positions in just one year.

These indicators confirm the effectiveness of the university’s strategy focused on internationalization, academic excellence, and the development of scientific potential. Today, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University is recognized not only as a regional leader but also as a highly respected institution of global standing.

In his letter, Minister Sayassat Nurbek emphasized the university’s special role in Kazakhstan’s higher education system:

Your consistent participation in international rankings makes a significant contribution to strengthening the academic reputation of Kazakhstan and advancing science and education.
