THE ASIAN ASYK ATU CHAMPIONSHIP HAS COME TO AN END
The main goal of the championship was to develop national sports, promote the traditional game of asyk among youth, and enhance its international prestige.
This year, national teams from 12 Asian countries and neighboring regions took part in the competition, including Kazakhstan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, the Russian Federation (Republic of Sakha), China, India, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.
According to the program of the championship, the men’s teams competed in the “Asyk Atu” discipline, while the women’s teams participated in the “Bes Asyk” discipline. Over two days, the participants demonstrated remarkable precision, agility, and skill.
The closing ceremony of the championship also took place at our university, where athletes who showed the best results were awarded cups, medals, and valuable prizes.
A significant contribution to the successful organization of the championship was made by Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and the Regional Federation of Asyk Atu.
This championship not only promoted international recognition of the national sport but also strengthened friendship and cultural ties among Asian countries.
