AS PART OF THE “LAW AND ORDER” CONCEPT, AN EVENT WAS HELD ON PREVENTING INTERNET FRAUD

Today, as part of the “law and order” concept, our university held an open dialogue event aimed at preventing internet fraud. The meeting was attended by representatives of the People's Bank and employees of the Cybercrime Prevention Department of the Turkestan Region Police Department.


The main goal was to improve students' financial literacy, prevent modern types of fraud in the banking sector, and strengthen mutual cooperation between law enforcement agencies and bank representatives. Residents were also urged to comply with the law and protect their personal data.


The meeting was moderated by Yedil Tulegenov, Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development. The speakers were Samat Bekbashev, Deputy Director of the Turkestan Regional Branch of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and Police Captain Zhubanysh Shukurbay, an operative of the Cybercrime Division of the Turkestan Regional Police Department. They gave informative presentations on combating internet fraud.


During the meeting, they talked in detail about the types of internet fraud and ways to prevent it, as well as the steps to take if you fall victim to fraudsters.
The event was designed to give students important info about modern digital risks and explain the importance of staying financially secure.
