The Social and Cultural Affairs Committee is a collegial body aimed at discussing, coordinating, and implementing issues related to the university’s social and cultural development, educational activities, and social support. The Committee addresses matters related to the implementation of the university’s social and cultural development policy, the creation of a favorable social and psychological environment for students and staff, and the systematic organization of social initiatives.

The Committee operates under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development and is based on the interaction of the structural units under their supervision. In particular, the Department of Youth Policy, the Alumni Association, the Sports and Recreation Center, the Culture Center, the Turkic Peoples’ Intellectual Games (Scientific and Practical) Center, the Youth Center, the Department for the Organization of Social and Cultural Activities and Psychological Support, the “AI” Medical Outpatient Clinic, and the Dormitory Center are directly involved in implementing social, cultural, educational, psychological, and recreational activities.

In order to improve the effectiveness of social and cultural work at the university, the Committee develops proposals, analyzes the activities of structural units, reviews projects in the fields of social support, cultural and educational activities, and youth policy, and submits them for implementation. In addition, by coordinating activities aimed at social adaptation, psychological support, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and the meaningful organization of students’ leisure time, the Committee contributes to strengthening the university’s social stability and the quality of its educational environment.
