A LECTURE-CONCERT BY THE FOLK ENSEMBLE ALKONYR WAS HELD
Today, our university hosted a lecture-concert by the folk ensemble Alkonyr, dedicated to several significant anniversaries: the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbaiuly, the 100th anniversary of Nurgissa Tlendiyev, the 95th anniversary of Shamshi Kaldayakov, and the 70th anniversary of Sauran Yeleuov.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Art, Media, and Design in cooperation with the multifunctional complex Congress Hall of the Department of Culture of Turkistan Region.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Media, and Design, Darkhan Elzhanov. He expressed sincere gratitude to the head of the ensemble Alkonyr, senior lecturer of our university and recipient of the “Qurmet” Order, Yerkin Nurymbetov, for his creative contribution to cultural development, and presented him with special gifts.
The event continued with a concert program. Accompanied by the ensemble Alkonyr, the performers presented works by Shamshi Kaldayakov, Abai Kunanbaiuly, and Nurgissa Tlendiyev. The audience also enjoyed traditional kuis such as Koshpendiler, Aqzhelen, and Baldyrgan.
A graduate of our university, Bekbolat Serikov, also took part in the concert.
As part of the program, a lecture-presentation was delivered: Yerkin Nurymbetov introduced students to the history of national musical instruments and their unique timbral characteristics.
