“KIMISHEK TRADITION – THE NATION’S SPIRITUAL HERITAGE AND A SYMBOL OF WISDOM”: EDUCATIONAL CELEBRATION HELD
An Educational Festive Event Titled “Kimishek Tradition – The Spiritual Heritage of the Nation and a Reflection of Wisdom” Was Held.
On the occasion of March 8 – International Women’s Day, an educational festive event titled “Kimishek Tradition – The Spiritual Heritage of the Nation and a Reflection of Wisdom” was held at the House of Friendship in Turkistan. The event was jointly organized by the Department for Organizing Social and Cultural Activities and Providing Psychological Support and the “Public Consent” Municipal Public Institution of the Turkistan Regional Department of Public Development.
The event was attended by chairpersons and members of regional ethnocultural associations, representatives of the structures under the regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the Turkistan regional branch of the “Assembly Youth” Republican Public Association, members of the Student Assembly, students, and media representatives.
The main goal of the event was to widely promote the educational and cultural significance of the kimishek, a national heritage of the Kazakh people, highlight the role of mothers in society, and honor national values.
During the celebration, Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Edil Tolegenov delivered a welcoming speech.
Throughout the event, the educational and spiritual significance of traditional clothing was widely discussed. In particular, university psychologist Lazzat Myrzashova delivered a presentation, emphasizing that the kimishek reflects the wisdom, dignity, and identity of a mother.
In addition, Gulsara Tokkulova, Head of the Center for Inclusive Education Support, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and Chairperson of the Mothers’ Council under the Turkistan Regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, shared her thoughts on the role of mothers in preserving national traditions. Meanwhile, Mukhabbat Ibragimova, Chairperson of the Mothers’ Council of the Turkistan Regional Uzbek Ethnocultural Public Association, highlighted the importance of mothers in strengthening unity and harmony in a multiethnic society.
The festive program was enriched by performances from the “Shezhire” and “Azhyeler” ensembles, as well as a musical tribute dedicated to mothers performed by our student Shakhmardan Bekarysuly. In addition, flowers were presented to the women attending the event.
The meaningful gathering turned into a spiritually enriching evening dedicated to promoting national traditions and honoring the dignity and role of mothers in society.
