Kursad Zorlu, Deputy Chairperson of the Justice and Development Party of the Republic of Turkey for Relations with Turkic Countries, visited our university.
The distinguished guest was welcomed by the university Rector, Zhanar Temirbekova; Representative of the Rector, Naci Genc; and Vice-Rector for Finance and International Relations, Mustafa Giritlioglu. The meeting was also attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Turkistan, Levent Gurcan.
During the meeting, Rector Zhanar Temirbekova introduced Kursad Zorlu to the rich history of our university and spoke about its position in the national and international educational arena. Special attention was given to the university’s role in providing high-quality education for youth from Turkic countries. Various international scientific and cultural events, symposia, and conferences held at the university in recent years were also highlighted.
In turn, the prominent politician Kursad Zorlu expressed his pleasure at visiting the spiritual capital of the Turkic world, the city of Turkistan, and in particular, the Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. He highly appreciated the scientific potential of the university and its contribution to strengthening cooperation among Turkic countries, expressing his gratitude for this.
At the end of the meeting, the guests and university leadership took a commemorative photo, after which they visited the mausoleum of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi.
