Information Security Office

The Information Security Department is a structural unit responsible for protecting the University’s information resources and ensuring the stable, secure, and uninterrupted operation of its core digital infrastructure. The Department centrally supports the University’s server, network, and telecommunications environment and provides the technological foundation required for the reliable operation of information systems and digital services.

In addition to information security, the Department’s remit includes the technical management of server and virtualization infrastructure, data storage systems, the local area network, Wi-Fi infrastructure, internet connectivity and VPN services, corporate authentication, and core network services. It also supports the operation of CCTV, access control, turnstile, and IP telephony systems required for the University’s security and day-to-day operations.

The Department is responsible for continuously monitoring the availability of digital infrastructure, preventing information security incidents and responding to them promptly, developing backup and data recovery mechanisms, and strengthening the protection of network and server resources. As the number and scale of digital services grow, the Department systematically enhances business continuity, availability management, and information security risk reduction practices.

As part of the technological support provided to research and innovation projects, the Department ensures the stable operation of high-performance computing resources, GPU servers, data storage systems, research computing environments, network connectivity, and secure access. It contributes to the development of reliable and protected IT infrastructure required for scientific computing and data processing.
