UNIVERSITY VICE-RECTOR ELMIRA IDRISOVA PARTICIPATED IN AN INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM
Elmira Idrissova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of our university, participated in the II International Symposium titled “Women in the Turkic World: Economic Transformation and Development,” held in the Republic of Turkey.
The event brought together scholars, politicians, entrepreneurs, and experts from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other Turkic countries.
Within the framework of the symposium, several plenary and sectional sessions were organized, where the role of women in society, politics, and the economy was widely discussed.
Participants delivered presentations on topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence, women’s leadership, educational strategies, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and sustainable development.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Idrissova also spoke at the event, presenting on the topic “Transformation of Educational Strategies as a Factor of Economic Development: The Role of Women’s Leadership.” She noted:
“Today, we live in a time when the pace of economic change has outstripped the speed of transformation in the education system. This gap is not only a challenge but also a strategic opportunity.
It is worth noting that in Kazakhstan’s new Constitution adopted on March 15, the importance of human capital has been clearly emphasized. The modern economy depends on the quality of human capital, and education is a key driver of economic growth.
According to data from the World Bank and UNESCO, approximately 55% of higher education students in Kazakhstan are women. This means that a significant portion of the country’s intellectual and professional potential is shaped by women.”
The vice-rector’s presentation in the Kazakh language at the gathering of Turkic nations was warmly received by participants. Kazakhstani students studying in Turkey expressed their appreciation and shared their feelings of longing for their homeland. They also thanked Elmira Idrissova for her insights on education.
Other speakers at the symposium also highlighted the role of women in political systems, their contribution to economic development, and their achievements in entrepreneurship in different countries.
