Today, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between the International Kazakh-Turkish University and the Corporate Fund for the Conservation of Biodiversity of Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by a delegation headed by the head of the fund Asylkhan Asylbekov, as well as vice president for academic innovation and postgraduate education Sholpan Yesimova, vice president for scientific work Kamalbek Meirbekuly, director of the Institute of Natural Sciences Galitdin Bakanuly and teachers of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
It should be noted that the purpose of the memorandum is to improve the environmental education of students, conduct new research through the exchange of experience.
The Biodiversity Conservation Fund of Kazakhstan is implementing the project “Improving the management of protected areas in the Western Tien Shan”. The project will be financed by a grant from the Cooperation Fund (CEPF) (USA) for the conservation of ecosystems in critical condition. Aksu-Zhabagaly, Karatau and Sairam-Ugam were selected as pilot regions.
From now on, a number of complex works will be carried out within the framework of the memorandum.
