At our university, employees of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Turkistan Region conducted an informational session for students on fire safety.
Opening the meeting, Vice-Rector for Socio-Cultural Development, Yedil Tolegenov, noted:
“Fire is a silent enemy. It requires its own preventive measures. Today, there are many causes of fire, including malfunctions in gas and electrical appliances and wiring. That is why our topic today is especially important.”
Next, the Head of the State Fire Control Department of the Turkistan Region Emergency Department, Civil Protection Major Meiramkhan Kemelkhanov, gave a detailed explanation on fire protection methods. He emphasized:
“Good afternoon, dear students! Today we will share with you relevant information on fire safety. As part of this topic, we will talk about fire alarms, firefighting equipment, preventive measures, and basic safety rules. Fire safety is a vital aspect of protecting every person’s life and property.”
In line with the agenda, Deputy Head of the State Fire Control Department, Civil Protection Major Zhasulan Ainabek, delivered presentations on “Fire Alarm and Firefighting Equipment Exhibition” and “Evacuation of People in Educational Institutions and Dormitories in Case of Fire.” He thoroughly demonstrated the operation of fire safety automation using a real model, which displayed fire alarm sensors, smoke detectors, alert systems, automatic fire extinguishing components, and illuminated evacuation direction signs.
At the end of the event, students asked questions of interest and received detailed answers.
