STUDENTS AND UNIVERSITY STAFF HELD A CHARITY EVENT
Today, at the Faculty of Sports and Arts of our university, as part of a charity event organized by second-year students majoring in “Acting Art,” a comedy play titled “Oh, Those Newlyweds!” was performed.
The main goal of the aspiring actors in staging the play was to support residents of regions affected by natural disasters in the country. As noted by Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development Askar Turganbayev, all proceeds from ticket sales will be directed to provide material assistance to the victims.
The comedy “Oh, Those Newlyweds!” portrays the life of a young couple who have recently started a family. In today’s world, issues of preserving family unity and overcoming life’s challenges are particularly relevant. Through a lighthearted and humorous storyline, the students conveyed the importance of openness and trust in family relationships.
The director of the play is Honored Cultural Worker Aitkul Seitmetova, the choreographer is Senior Lecturer Malika Mukhamedzhanova, and the musical arrangement was prepared by Senior Lecturer Bakhadir Tazhimetov.
The performance by the young actors was warmly received and met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
It is worth noting that the initiative to support fellow citizens affected by natural disasters was embraced not only by students but also by the university’s faculty and staff. More than 400 teachers and employees donated their one-day salary to charity. In total, the university community will contribute over 3 million tenge to provide assistance.
