Today, within the framework of the International Cultural and Scientific Symposium titled “Artisans (Akhilik) in the Footsteps of Khoja Akhmed Yassawi,” the opening ceremony of the Akhilik exhibition stands was held.

The main goal of the exhibition is to comprehensively explore the shared values of the Turkic world from academic, cultural, and social perspectives, as well as to revive spiritual heritage and strengthen generational continuity.

During the opening, around 20 artisans presented their works and organized a special exhibition. The display showcased a wide range of traditional crafts and the rich cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the AK Party, Head of the AK Party Chairmanship for Relations with Turkic States, Member of Parliament of Ankara, Professor Dr. Kursad Zorlu; Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Member of the Board of Trustees of our university, Professor Dr. Darkhan Kydyrali; Executive Secretary of the AMANAT Party Daulet Karibek; Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mahmut Gurcan; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Astana Mustafa Kapucu; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our university Muhittin Simsek; and Rector Zhanar Temirbekova.

At the exhibition, artisans presented wooden toys, traditional clothing, horse harness equipment, and various items made from wood, leather, and other natural materials. Each piece clearly reflected the craftsmanship, national spirit, and deep respect for ancestral heritage.

It is worth noting that Akhilik is not merely an association of artisans, but also a powerful civilizational model based on honesty, fair earnings, social solidarity, brotherhood, and professional ethics.

This exhibition served not only as a platform for presenting handicrafts but also as an important space for strengthening cultural ties among Turkic countries and promoting traditional craftsmanship.
