The 13th Regional Conference titled "Modern Issues of Reproductive Medicine," organized by the Medical Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MARK), was held on April 3–4, 2026, at the Rixos Turkestan Hotel in the city of Turkestan.
It became a significant scientific event that brought together leading experts in the field of reproductology and demonstrated a high level of scientific discussion and interdisciplinary interaction. Within the framework of the event, modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility were comprehensively reviewed, the implementation of innovative methods of assisted reproductive technologies, personalized treatment protocols, as well as the latest international recommendations were discussed, providing participants with a deep understanding of current industry development trends. In addition, special focus was placed on increasing the efficiency of in vitro fertilization, reducing the risk of complications, hormonal regulation of reproductive function, and the results of recent clinical research in the field of reproductive endocrinology, which was accompanied by active discussions, a comparative analysis of various treatment methods, and discussion of the issue of diminished ovarian reserve in women of reproductive age and the importance of early diagnosis of reproductive disorders.
Master classes demonstrating current clinical approaches were organized, allowing participants to acquire practical skills and discuss complex clinical cases, including the combination of surgical treatment of infertility and assisted reproductive technologies, ethical aspects of using reproductive technologies, diagnosis and treatment of male infertility, the role of genetic and immunological factors, modern methods of cryopreservation, treatment of endometriosis, fertility preservation in cancer patients, the impact of lifestyle, environmental factors, and the microbiome on reproductive health, as well as treatment standardization, embryo quality, and development perspectives of reproductive medicine.
As a result, this conference contributed to the strengthening of professional ties, the development of the scientific potential of young specialists, and the implementation of scientific research into clinical practice, taking place in an atmosphere of professional cooperation and scientific inquiry, and made a significant contribution to the development of medical science in the region and improving the quality of medical care.
Within the conference program, plenary sessions were organized, where the history of reproductive medicine development, achievements in IVF technologies, issues of oncofertility, and the influence of genetic factors were widely discussed.
During the conference, innovative technologies used in clinical practice were presented, including new solutions with the integration of elements of ultrasound diagnostics, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence, which in turn was an important step aimed at improving the quality of medical care, while simultaneously strengthening the exchange of experience among participants, allowing for the development of international cooperation and identifying new directions for future research in reproductive medicine.
