The Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Turkistan, Levent Gürcan, paid an official visit to our university. The distinguished guest met with faculty members and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
During the meeting, the Consul General spoke about his life and professional career.
“Dear students, you are still young. Therefore, nothing is impossible for you at this stage of your lives. Do not be afraid to dream and to turn those dreams into reality,” he noted. His words inspired students, instilling in them motivation and confidence in their future.
Levent Gürcan also shared his views on the diplomatic relations and cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan.
In his speech, he emphasized: “When I arrived in Kazakhstan, especially in Turkistan, I felt as though I had stepped onto my ancestral homeland. Our language and religion are the same, and this is a place that feels familiar. I did not feel like a stranger here. Since Turkey and Kazakhstan share deep historical roots, our countries are very close. I am truly happy to be here and to work in this country.”
The Consul General provided valuable insights into the strong ties and joint achievements of Kazakhstan and Turkey since 1991. He highlighted cooperation not only in the political sphere, but also in culture, economy, trade, education, and science.
He also emphasized that every profession has its own responsibilities and unique characteristics, noting that the most important duty is to serve one’s country with dedication.
Thus, he spoke not only about diplomacy, but also about the importance of contributing to the development and well-being of one’s nation.
At the end of the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers.
