Our athletes achieved remarkable success at the Republican Student Sports League among higher educational institutions, held in Almaty and organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A total of 1,093 athletes from 48 universities across the country participated in the competition. Representing our university in several sports disciplines, our athletes demonstrated excellent performance and ranked among the top participants.
In particular, our university’s women’s basketball team won first place and became the champions of the tournament.
In Kazakh Kures, our athletes earned 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal, securing third place in the overall team standings. Margulan Talgatuly, competing in the 74 kg weight category, and Dinmukhamed Ergeshbayev, competing in the over 90 kg category, both claimed gold medals. Galymzhan Nurmet won the silver medal in the 82 kg category, while Zhanel Assan secured a bronze medal in the women’s over 75 kg category.
At the Republican Student Sports League, our women’s volleyball team also achieved third place. In chess, Mukhammad Bakirov and Abylaikhan Tastanbek earned third place, while Dias Zhassuzak also secured third place in the Toguz Kumalak competition.
In addition, Nurai Zhumagul in volleyball, along with Venera Sidabduramanova and Anel Assilbek in basketball, received the “Best Player” award.
