TURKISH DOCTORS SHARED THEIR EXPERIENCE
In particular, neurologist Professor Dr. Harun Cansız from Istanbul University and Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine, physician Rafet Yıldırım, and orthopedic surgeon Professor Dr. Mehmet Akif Kagısız, together with the CDC doctors, performed several surgeries.
The surgeries, which are rarely performed in the region, were successful.
In addition, the Turkish doctors participated in a joint project between the Clinical and Diagnostic Center and Turkistan TV — the program “Shipa,” where they answered questions received from various regions of the country.
Within the framework of the university’s healthcare projects, neurologist Professor Dr. Cigdem Ozkara and neurosurgeon Professor Dr. Mustafa Uzun conducted both practical and theoretical sessions.
From May 22 to 24, the “Epilepsy School” was held in Turkistan with the participation of specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, and neuropsychology from Turkistan and neighboring regions.
On the first day of the school, leading Turkish epilepsy specialists conducted theoretical classes, and in the following days they evaluated patients with undiagnosed conditions from Turkistan and nearby cities. Patients meeting the criteria for epilepsy surgery were identified, and decisions were made regarding their monitoring and treatment.
