“THE TEACHER WHO PROMOTED NATIONAL HANDICRAFTS RECEIVED A STATE AWARD”
Mereke Aidarsha, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts at our university and recipient of the “Excellence in Culture” medal, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during the XIV Extended Meeting of the Turkistan Regional Public Council for his contribution to the successful organization and conduct of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
It should be noted that, within the framework of the summit, Mereke Aidarsha presented his personal exhibition at the Handicraft Center, where he introduced the traditional handicrafts and national values of the Turkic peoples to foreign guests.
At the exhibition, the artist showcased his works and handicraft items reflecting national traditions and cultural motifs.
The award was presented to Mereke Aidarsha by the Akim of Turkistan Region, Nuralkhan Kosherov. This recognition reflects the teacher’s many years of dedicated service in the fields of culture and art, as well as his significant contribution to the promotion of national handicrafts.
In addition, the regional governor conveyed the warm regards of the Head of State and presented state awards and Letters of Appreciation to other citizens who contributed to the successful organization and conduct of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
